On the basis of simulations using satellite tools Communication Blackout Time (CBT) was arrived at, and defined. In addition, I worked on the Ground Segment IP network designs for efficient and assured Space/Ground satellite data sharing and multicasting opportunities. Recommendations were consulted by at least one commercial satellite imagery company in the wake of the South-East Asia Tsunami disaster.
