We are using the enhancement of the light-matter interaction due to the strong field confinement in PC’s for Bio-measurement applications. These measurements include sensing changes in refractive index, as well as enhancement or suppression of emission from fluorescent bio-markers. We are working on combining microfluidic systems for bio-reagent delivery with active and passive photonic devices. |
