First installations completed in Nigeria!

We've completed the first installations in Nigeria of an solar-powered, battery-powed LED lighting system.  The system was donated by New Option Lighting . The system was installed in an off-grid community in rural Nigeria where typically lighting is by kerosene lamps.  Such lamps are far costlier to run than the solar-powered system over one year.  They also present a serious health hazard.  Innovations to Society is currently working with rural communities to install customized solar lighting systems for a range of applications which can bring tremendous benefits to developing communities.  One example is the benefit in education; shown on the right are students studying after nightfall.
